Richard Murphy Architects was the firm behind the Caernarfon Theatre and Arts Centre project which opened to public on March, 31st, 2005. Their building design has been featured on the front cover and as the major building study of the Architects’ Journal on March 2005 issue. The Architecture Grand Prix was the award given to Richard Murphy upon the building concept design of Scottish Design Awards 2006.





The Caernarfon Theatre and Arts Centre is a combination of theatre, arts facilities and offices for creative industries in the Caernarfon, Wales, UK. They’re opened for public use of events and performances, both professional and amateurs.






As well as for live music concerts, the theatre also offers various exciting cinema program, selected from the very best of the latest movie releases and also classic films. The theatre can accommodate an audience of 400 seated and up to 400 standing (with the seats retraced) and is available for hire.
