Japanese architects Nakayama completed this minimalist building in September 2004. Located in the city of Sapporo, the both cafe and gallery building used the sense of beauty from the modern northland. From the outside, the facade would look such as a warehouse.

Producing a space with good margin, the architect trimmed off any elements which were redundant. The amount of light was limited to provide an appearance of depth.

Below are several text from the architects:
“To provide an empty space similar to a spot garden. To express another dimension with landscape planning such as woods. To use natural materials or metals and concrete to enjoy the age softening. To enable evSarou Houmurang an image of a warehouse from the architecture.” Via
