Peter Barber Architects has completed a contemporary urban design of a Greek style house in Hackney, United Kingdom. Built on a (buckle up) slim 4.5m site, the house has a white facade, an elliptical “roof”, irregular windows, warm furnishings and a cozy little terrace.

Considering the limited space which is available on the site, the architect came up with innovative ideas. The innovative mixed-use building maximizes on every bit of space in this dense city center. It allows for 650 livable units per hectare, and blends two maisonettes, a live/work unit and a retail component surrounding a central patio.

Elliptical profile is the certain Mediterranian style which applied to the house. To keep with the true Greek Isle style, the courtyard offers residents their own private piece of the outdoors.

I love it!!
Fantastic design!
