All other wood is IPE Brazilian hardwood, which is FSC-certified and naturally resistant to mold, rot, and insects. IPE is 8 times harder than redwood and guaranteed to last 25 years without treatment. Additionally, all KitHAUSes can be upgraded with a 1 kilowatt customized photovoltaic system to harness some of the sun’s rays for energy.
The K4 KitHaus is available for sell with the new modules with options for louvers, decks, and canopies on Design Within Reach. The prices are ranged between $29,500 and up to $44,900.
