Answering the needs for better workspace, ADD+ Arquitectura has completed a challenging dynamic project for Manresa City Hall building extension. The building is located near the edge of a hill bordering the river Cardener and in front of the Montserrat Mountains.

Things that made this project as an architectural challenge was the odd odd looking extension which served to the designers. They needed to come up with ideas to pack a separate space for the stairways, the lift and other viewpoints along the way.

Called a ‘graft’, the giant shapeless structure is said to be a part of the original building rather than just an add-on. Irrespective of its weird look and the eyebrows it might raise (from those who love aesthetics), it serves the purpose pretty wild.

Yes, but that doesn’t really explain why they didn’t just build a big box like 99.999% of other designers would!! \
Nevermind, love the photos, especially pics of the interior.
Very interesting read, I think their would be a lot of mixed opinions on this. Love the theme that you are using, what is it?
