Eco friendly architectures are trends which more and more people tend to look when designing their contemporary homes. In Kansas city, duo architects Lauren and Eric Wendlandt from Framework Design architecture firm have completed the 6,500 square feet sustainable home design that encompasses residential, commercial and workshop space in one.
The exterior home design is clad with wooden elements, combining the natural appeal with industrial-chic elements, making the home as an inspiring workspace. The wooden element also give the house its rustic atmophere and distinct style. Its materials are made of salvaged wood from local barns and oak reclaimed from area remodels, applying the eco friendly concept of reduce, reuse, and recycle.
Authentic interior stair design is created by designing the railing made from pipe. The modern sustainable house has excellent sustainable features like rainwater recycling system, radiant flooring, tankless and solar water heaters, photovoltaics, recycled insulation and tiles, passive ventilation, thermal stone walls, natural lighting, dual- and low-flush toilets and shower heads, and a rooftop garden in the works. It needs a larger space, but still looks simple. Nice!
