Collection of modern, minimalist, and eco friendly architectural design for your home inspiration
Located in Wayne, New Jersey, Hangar Design Group has designed a Boys and Girls Club which was a 6,500 squarefoot addition to an existing community facility. The modern architecture building provides four new classrooms and new offices for an early childhood education center.
The expansion serves as an enhancement to a stark existing building volume while creating a welcoming and bright face to the entire facility. The roof line floats above a perimeter porch area that also permits for the rectangular volume to benefit from a continuous natural light source, reducing reliance on artificial light.
The materials were specifically selected to limit maintenance needs in the educational environments while elegant details are present on the façade and roof line. The material choices were also based on their sustainability and projected lifetime creating a green system solution. Photography by Ty Cole
