Hutchison & Maul Architects has completed a beautiful rustic Lake House on Mercer Island, Washington. The house combined the weathered look of rusted metal, with warm natural wood and a cool contemporary white facade. A multi faceted design is the result of the blend of those styles.

Numerous levels are set along the sloping terain and facing the lake. Occupying an area of 900 square feet, the house have a direct access to accomodate living and recreation. The lowewr level houses are intended for the changing and bathing room, as well as family’s water sports equipment storage.

A guest room is private from the main house, which is situated higher up on the hill to make the most of the gorgeous lake views. Terraces invite outdoor living, with main rooms that open to the outdoors and expansive windows at every turn.
