Modular Cottages Architecture Design in Yokohama – Bayside Marina Hotel by Yasutaka Yoshimura Architecture
Japanese based architects Yasutaka Yoshimura have completed a modular cottage design of a hotel located on the seaside of Yokohama. Dubbed Bayside Marina Hotel, the architecture os based on the formof the shipping container.
The prefab architecture are randomlyplaced on the site, offering each residence to have different views. The long narrow containers have been fabricated in Thailand and assembled in Japan.
Each prefab unit is made up of two containers stacked up upon one another. The space between guests units provides unique natural sound attenuation and also visual privacy. Leading to each cottage entrance, concrete pathways are built and installed.
