Nakayama Architects has completed a house design project in Sapporo, Japan. “Boukyo House”, it’s what they called the home which deliver an artful and efficient space. The house itself looks just a simple box, but that’s main advantage for them to maximize every inch of areas into full functionality.

Nakayama chose the rustic color for the exterior look and then combined with artistic interiors which makes the home on its way through carefully contemplated finishes. Unassuming perforated walls cast a spectacular sun-lit pattern reminiscent of detailed delicate filigree work.

Light factor become one of the most concerned of this Japanese modern home design. Unassuming perforated walls cast a spectacular sun-lit pattern reminiscent of detailed delicate filigree work. Exposed beams are stretched from walls, while a wonderful staircase makes its way from level to level.

Nakayama focused to maximize the area between private and public living spaces which resulted a floor plan which puts two bedrooms and a bathroom on one level, and the living room, dining room, kitchen and workroom on another. It really creates true privacy for residents.
