New York’s Newseum by Polshek Partnership Architects

In 2006 the Newseum had opened on a busy street in Rosslyn. But then, Newseum chief Charles Overby outlined the hard facts that their Newseum had outgrown its site and it was too far off the tourist track to get drop-in visitors. They need a new site and a new building. Thus, a reincarnated Newseum had built on a prominent site on Pennsylvania Avenue between the Capitol and the White House with the help of Polshek Partnership Architects with Exhibit Designer Ralph Appelbaum Associates.

James Polshek, the architect described their project, “It is fitting that a museum dedicated to journalism and free speech should itself be an open, visually and intellectually accessible stage for the public to learn about and interact with the process of news making.”

Woodworking is a piece of cake …

With tons of blueprints (over 16,000!) for different furniture designs and outdoor woodwork projectsyou can have a great insight into how to build different things with wood. In it, they tell you about wood, how to design projects, the detailed photographs, patterns, blueprints, materials list and step by step instructions on how to put build them.

The second part shows you the different tools and how to use them, and a complete guide to woodwork carpentry. And the color photographs and drawings are beautiful and show a lot of detail.
