Sentosa Cove Modern House with Mushroom-Like Shape in Singapore by Concrete Architectural Associates
Among the most awesome modern houses in Singapore, this Sentosa Cove Residence offer a unique shape that resembles a gigantic mushroom. The residence is situated on a corner lot with two sides facing a water canal, thus this unique shape.
L P Kwee, the architect strategically put a free-standing oval shaped living room that made the canal visible, backdropped with the rest of the home. Through the house, there are various creative inspirations found, the Pantheon-like large aperture roofl “the hull of a boat” verandah, and the tropical outdoors that freshen the indoor atmosphere view.
The master bedroom seamlessly includes the bed, seating, nightstands into the curvature of the room with modern, clean lines. The garage is built rather than closed off spaces like usuals, it more like a display case to the car collections.
