Nature have inspired Japanese architects Hirotani Yoshihiro + Ishida Yusaku from Archivision Hirotani Studio to create a modern home design with barnacle profile on its façade. The Fujitsobo (barnacle) house incorporates skylights mounted in three pitched volumes on the roof.
Brasilian architect Marcio Kogan has designed a modern sustainable house which encloses 700 square meters of living space in two floors situated in a plot of 1700 square meters and enclosed by enormous walls protecting the house which will be covered in natural wood.
LA-based architect Michael Maltzan together with garden designer Nancy Goslee Power has completed the Inner-City Arts architecture project, and awarded with the 2009 Rudy Bruner Awards. The project is an education facility which provides art instruction to a large population of at-risk children and youth in LA, located downtown of Los Angeles.
Down in the forest of Netherland, architect Paul de Ruiter has designed a small minimalist Villa Berkel. The site was occupied by an old bungalow, which later demolished and built with an entirely new building.
Located in the Veluwe Zoom area near Arnhem in the Netherlands, a team of architect from Powerhouse Company designed the woodland Villa 1 which earned them the “Best Private Interior” at the Dutch Design Awards recently.
