Collection of modern, minimalist, and eco friendly architectural design for your home inspiration
A sustainable house design has been designed by students of the Technische Universität Darmstadt in Germany which have won them the Solar Decathlon competition. The winning design is a two-storey, cube-shaped building covered in two types of solar cells, is highly insulated and has automated lourve window shades to reduce unwanted heat-gain.
On going with the global warming issues, the Department of Energy at Cornell University ran a competition which invited architects to come up with eco friendly energy efficient home ideas. One of the contestants, Zero Energy Design (ZED) pumped their best effort which resulted a Solar Decathlon House in Ithaca, New York.
