Recently, architect Herzog & de Meuron has completed the VitraHaus showroom design, developed for Vitra a Home Collection company. The showroom is designed as a contemporary house, to accomodate the collection which is more suitable to be put in such environment rather than exhibited in the neutral atmosphere like convention hall or museum.

To anticipate the increasing visitors, designer needs to add benches, niches, covered waiting zones and entries. These areas for sitting, standing, waiting, and looking are stamped or cut out of the shape of the houses through simple mechanical manipulations. Via
